INVITATION TO APPLY FOR ELIGIBILITY AND TO BID
The FOOD TERMINAL, INC. through its Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) invites all interested parties to apply for Eligibility and to Bid for the PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES AT FTI COMPLEX FOR CY 2008 and PROVISION OF GARBAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SERVICES AT FTI COMPLEX FOR CY 2008, for the period covering 1 January 2008 to 31 December 2008, with an Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) as stated hereunder. Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at Bid opening. |

Brief Description: The project requires One Hundred Ten (110) security guards to man and provide security services for a specific portion/ area of the FTI complex, on a twenty- four (24) hour basis or in three (3) shifting schedules at eight (8) hours per shift everyday including Saturdays, Sundays, legal and special holidays. During the contract implementation, the number of guards may be increased or decreased as may be deemed necessary by the FTI |

Must be registered with PNP-SAGSD with current License to Operate; active member of the PADPAO with up to date payment of membership and not included in the blacklist of the organization; the officer/s of the security agency are Members of the PSIS or ASIS; the agency is registered to operate with the PEZA; must have current, previous, pending accreditation with the MMDA or City of Taguig to be deputized in enforcing traffic rules and regulations; must be in operation for the past five (5) years with a credible track record of at least 100 guards deployed in one (1) site within the last three (3) years; must have completed a single similar contract with a value of at least P15, 000, 000, and have key personnel and equipment available for the execution of the contract. |

Bidder Classification |
Must be an active member of the Solid Waste Contractors Association of the Philippines or Solid Waste Management Association of the Philippines with a current and valid dumping permit to undertake garbage collection services at the FTI Complex. The services will include provision of all necessary labor, hauling vehicles, equipment, tools, chemicals, materials and supplies to facilitate garbage collection and hauling of garbage outside FTI Complex; should have a creditable track record of at least three (3) previous engagements with Local Government Unit/s within Metro Manila and two (2) other Service Contract of at least a volume of 500 cu.m. per month within the last five (5) years. |

Only bids from bidders who pass the Eligibility Check will be opened.
All particulars relative to Eligibility Check, Bid Security, Performance Security, Pre-Bidding Conference, Evaluation of Bids, Post-qualification and Award of Contract shall be governed by the pertinent provisions of RA 9184 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

Interested Bidders may purchase a complete set of Bidding Documents to the BAC Secretariat at the Ground Floor, FTI New Administration Bldg., and upon payment of a non-refundable fee in the amount of P 10, 000.00 in the form of cash. Interested Bidders may obtain further information from the BAC at the said address.
The Food Terminal, Inc. assumes no responsibility whatsoever to compensate or indemnify bidders for any expenses incurred in the preparation of their respective bids. The FTI also reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, and to annul the Bidding process and reject all Bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected Bidder or Bidders.
